ServicesInitial consultationsThe
inital consultation is conducted with you in the office and consists of a comprehensive evaluation of the
child, the family and its lifestyle, the child's preferences and
special needs as well as any other special considerations which will
influence the success of the transition to a healthier diet. Once a
baseline is established, the goals can be defined and the steps laid
out for the individualized program.
The consultation takes about 90 minutes.
Follow up consultations this process is tailored to your needs. It may include email, phone or in person follow ups.
These are usually about 30 minutes.
Nutritional Education
We provide you with educational materials related to your
child's nutrtional plan as well as a list of resources for you to refer
to for more in-depth information. This is included in the inital visit.
Nutrition Response Testing
This non invasive testing technique utilizes the principles of Applied
Kinesiology. In Applied Kinesiology, or muscle testing, the body's
feedback mechanism is used to determine things such as allergies,
nutritional deficiencies, the presence of pathogenic organisms and
organ health.
The testing is performed by applying light pressure to the client's arm
to test for muscle weakness when particular substances are positioned
near the client, usually vials of homeopathic preparations. Anything
can be tested however, such as particular foods or supplements.
Nutrition Response Testing allows us to determine root causes of issues
that might otherwise get overlooked. After testing is completed, a
supplement protocol is advised to assist the body in healing.
Nutrition Response Testing requires the client (child or adult) be
present for testing. It requires a separate initial consultation than a
nutritional consultation. However, discounts are given for scheduling
both.
Nutrition Response Testing Follow ups
Follow ups are conducted to ensure the body is responding to the
supplements or foods recommended. These are done on a weekly basis to
start. The dosages of supplements are often adjusted because the body
needs less of a supplement after a week or two. Foods can also be
retested to ensure an allergy or sensitivity has not developed to that
food.
Pantry makeoverThis
involves an in-home visit and an evaluation of the food in your pantry,
refrigerator and freezer. Healthy suggestions are made and lots of
information is given as to how to determine which foods are good
choices for your child. Phasing new foods in phasing old foods out can
be discussed at this time. This is a fun, educational experience to
help reduce your learning surve and easy the stress of the transition.
Shopping ConsultationShopping
consultations involve a trip to the store of your choice, or stores may
be recommended for you. This service assists you in navigating the
store for foods that are complimentary to the diet plan designed for
your child. This allows you to gain a great deal of hands on knowledge
without feeling overwhelmed. Label reading education is also a part of
this service.
This service time varies depending on your needs.
